Cancellation & Your Payment:
- Please read what we’ve sent to you, it’s intended to help you prepare for a great day. We are not responsible for anything, “you chose not to read, somehow missed, forgot, or didn’t understand and failed to ask us about before booking your reservation,” as provided to you in writing in our website, intro email. online liability release or electronic invoice. By the time you have paid your invoice, you have already received in writing the most detailed service description, weather advisory and safety information provided to consumers by any company at Lake Tahoe. It is your responsibility to carefully and completely read our offer, terms, conditions, service descriptions, pricing and disclaimers and links provided therein and ask all of your questions by replying to our intro email prior to making payment. Payment is your endorsement of and agreement with our offer, terms, service descriptions, pricing and disclaimers. Once payment is received cancellation terms apply.
- All cancellations must be made by email and are final. a. A cancellation does not convert to future credit, gift certificate or a future reservation. b. A cancellation can not be rescinded. c. Cancellation terms are not dependent on either the client or the company initiating them, either party can initiate a cancellation, and the terms and conditions will be applicable.
- No refund issued within 31 days of reservation * (see #5)
- 42% refunded from 32-45 or more days of reservation * (see #5)
- 93% refunded 46 or more days in advance * (see #5)
- * No refunds for cancellations or changes during holiday weekends or week. Thanksgiving week and weekend, Christmas week and weekend, New Years Week and weekend, Presidents Day Week and Weekend, Spring Break (last two weeks in March) Easter week and weekend. Weeks begin on Sunday before the holiday and end on Sunday after holiday.
- All refunds are less 15% refund processing fee. All cancellations must be made by responding to our intro email, NOT a phone call, text or social media.
- No refund for early termination of services for weather, Acts of God, or COVID related delays/cancellations. Sheriffs throughout California including the Lake Tahoe counties have stated in writing on 20NOV20 they are NOT enforcing the tyrannical and unconstitutional state suggested “lockdown/stay at home” proclamations. - The California “Stay at Home Order,” released 9DEC20 does not include outdoor recreation: item 2g “To promote and protect the physical and mental well-being of people in California, outdoor recreation facilities may continue to operate.” See the order, click here.
- If NV SR431 is officially closed (snowshoeing clients only), we will attempt to reschedule the next available day. If that’s not possible we’ll give you a credit for future non holiday use. (regardless of #1 ,2 ,3,4 above)
- No refunds will be issued to any participant who, for any reason, declines to complete the online release of liability agreement. The booking party receives the agreement at the time of reservation, and each participant must sign it within 4 hours of payment. Propowderguides is not responsible for any mobile network issues at the resort or meeting location; please complete the release at home or from your hotel using Wi‑Fi.
- Missed Meetings. Mobile phone voice service may NOT be available at our meeting place. It is the client’s responsibility to communicate effectively, know the exact meeting place, be on time and responsive by email. There are no refunds for missed meetings including no mobile phone voice service (email always available) and no available parking (leave early). If you have questions be sure you alert us no later than 6pm the night before your reservation. We send map links to our exact meeting place to make sure you know where we are meeting in our confirmation email. Please check the map link we provide the day before you are scheduled to meet us. LATE ARRIVAL/NO SHOW: a. 25 Minute Late Arrival/No Show Policy 9-9:25AM. b. If we do not hear from you by email within 25 minutes of your 9am reservation start time (no later than 9:25am) we will consider you a no show cancellation. c. You are responsible to arrive on time and provide your own transportation to our meeting. For no-shows the full amount of the lesson will be charged and no refund will be granted.
- Advance Parking Reservations Required: Advance paid parking reservations are mandatory for weekends and holiday weekdays at Heavenly, Northstar, and Palisades Tahoe/Alpine Meadows Alpine Meadows and Palisades parking lot reservations are not interchangeable. As these reservations are often sold out in advance, it is crucial that confirmed bookings strictly adhere to the agreed-upon meeting place at the time of payment. Unfortunately, requests to alter the meeting place post-payment cannot be accommodated due to the external nature of advanced paid parking reservation requirements. Any attempts to make such changes will be treated as cancellations, with no option for a refund. It is the client’s responsibility to reserve parking in advance, failure to do so resulting in a missed reservation constitutes a cancellation with no option for refund.
- No refunds due to weather or snow conditions. If we have low temperatures we can take multiple warm up breaks to insure comfort and safety.
- No refunds for those who are unwilling to participate in the class.
- No refunds for those who become ill/incapacitated before or during the lesson/snowshoe. Buy Travel Cancellation Insurance
- Propowderguides and our instructor will not be held responsibility for what your children may purchase and eat while they are under our supervision. If a minor/child has dietary restrictions or peanut allergies we will arrange to meet for lunch with a parent present who can monitor child food purchases and take full responsibility for food consumption. It is your responsibility to alert Propowderguides to allergies, medical conditions and physical restrictions at the time of booking.

- Cancellations the day of will be charged the entire cost of the lesson. No exceptions. You are responsible to arrive on time and provide your own transportation to our meeting spot.
- Quality instruction has nothing to do with the gender of the instructor, we do not offer client instructor gender selection as an option.
- Cancellations can be made by client or ProPowderGuides based on the terms and conditions provided in writing as detailed in our intro email, online liability release, and our website.
- There is potentially dangerous wildlife in the forest. We do not control the potentially dangerous wildlife that you may encounter. Your payment represents as your acknowledgment and acceptance that you enter the forest at your own risk. Finally, you agree to hold Pro Powder Guides and it’s employees harmless from any injury or death from all wild animals who inhabit the forest that you may encounter. This is a condensed summary of the limits of Pro Powder Guides liability for wildlife encounters. See our mandatory liability release form for the exact language that you have been provided, accepted and endorsed electronically prior to joining us.
- A credit card chargeback/dispute renders all prior agreements void.

If we have availability for the dates you’ve requested we will send you an electronic invoice as a gesture of convenience, enabling you to secure the spot you are contemplating before it’s potentially taken by someone else. If you choose not to make a reservation, you may simply disregard the electronic invoice, as you are not under any obligation to proceed. Please note that the invoice will be automatically canceled if not responded to within 4 hours of your request. b. Your payment signifies your acceptance of and agreement with our offer, cancellation terms, service descriptions, pricing, and disclaimers, which can be found at propowderguides.com/cancel. Cost of instructor lift ticket is not included. Once we have received your payment, our cancellation terms will become applicable. c. The party making the booking is responsible for ensuring that each participant, including parents or guardians for minors, completes an online liability release within 8 hours of making the payment to confirm the reservation.
